Brighton midfielder, Liam Bridcutt and Hull striker, George Boyd were the only surprise additions to Gordon Strachan’s first competitive squad today.
Strachan will open his competitive account against Wales next Friday (22nd) then Serbia away the following Tuesday (26th).
Gary Mackay-Steven was another addition but his recent form merited an invitation, perhaps along with Leigh Griffiths who was omitted.
Again the defence looks weak with the mercurial Gary Caldwell and Christophe Berra in the centre.
Midfield to Front looks relatively strong but it reamins to be seen if they can steal the ball from Bale, Ramsay and Ledley.
