Little Lionel has lost his crown to Cristiano Ronaldo but in reality everyone knows that he is still the best player in the world. That’s not to say the Portugese is very far behind and he has managed to stay injury free over the last year.
The little Argentine playmaker will return to his full capabilities soon enough. Hopefully hitting top form in Brazil for the World Cup. Hopefully someone will have a word in his shell like ear about his suit choices.

Messi’s suit entertained all
His injury absence has also precluded him form entry into the UEFA team of the year. A team that is bereft of any Barcelona player, despite their ease by which they secured La Liga.
Not surprisingly the team has a heavy German with Bayern Munich players dominating together with the addition of Marco Reus and Mesut Ozil. Real Madrid have 3 inclusion: Ronaldo, Bale and Ramos which seems a bit generous given their last season. It’s hard to argue with Ibra’s inclusion although his PSG teammate Silva is also nominated.
Uefa team of the year 2013:
Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich)
Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Thiago Silva (Paris St-Germain),
David Alaba (Bayern Munich) Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich))
Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich),
Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid),
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid),
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris St-Germain)
My top 11 of last year:
Buffon (Juventus)
Company (Man City) Dante (Bayern)
Alves (Barca) Lahm (Bayern)
Xavi (Barca) Iniesta (Barca)
Ribery (Bayern)
Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Lewandowski (Dortmund)
